Spring style

As spring blossoms, create this pretty bracelet to match your new season wardrobe. By Sarah Ashworth, Spoilt Rotten Beads

After becoming hooked on jewellery making from a fantastic initial training course, I have since successfully turned my hobby into a career. I am now Assistant Manager at Spolit Rotten Beads (where I attended that first course) and run my own thriving jewellery business, Sarah Fish Jewellery. I get a real thrill from creating pretty designs, I particularly love working with freshwater pearls and sparkly crystals.

If you like this project try experimenting with different colours, we've used toning colours in this project but the design works equally well with contrasting colours such as black and white or blue and green. If you enjoyed making the bracelet why not make a necklace to match.

Step 1

Begin by cutting three 9 inch lengths of Beadalon wire and crimp all three of them to one side of the clasp using just one crimp.

Step 2

Next thread the beads in the pattern shown using all three strands to go through the Crystal Rondelle bead and then separating the strands out and threading a bead onto each one before bringing all the strands back together again to go through another Crystal Rondelle.

Step 3

Once you have completed 10 sets of beads your bracelet will probably be long enough, now crimp the strands to the other side of the clasp and trim off any excess wire.

Step 4

Now add the tear drop charm to the loop on the swirly part of the clasp.

Step 5

Finally add one of the glass pearls and the bead cap to a headpin, make a wire wrapped loop on the headpin and also attach this to the loop on the swirly part of the clasp.

Extra Project

Cut three 4 inch strands of Beadalon wire and crimp all three to one of the jumprings using a 2mm Vintaj Brass crimp bead, trim off any excess wire. Thread on a Crystal Rondelle to all three strands. Separate the strands of wire and thread a bead onto each one before bringing all the strands back together again to go through another Crystal Rondelle. Now crimp all the strands onto another jumpring and trim off excess wire. Add a glass pearl and bead cap to a headpin, create a wire wrapped loop and attach to one of the jumprings. Finally use the other jumpring to attach the earring to the earwire. Repeat to make other earring.
